Ibrahim Ali Khan is finally addressing his Netflix debut, criticism around ‘Nadaniyan’, a romantic comedy directed by Shaun Gautam, which premiered last month. While the young actors remained calm amidst the floods of harsh reviews, now they have been talked to in an interview with Filmfare – in which they lost their nature and sent a strong message to a Pakistani journalist.
The controversy began when a journalist criticized the film and made personal remarks, which allegedly included “bated nose job” about Ibrahim. In March, Ibrahim retaliated through the Instagram DM with a scary response. His message, including personal insults and even the threat of violence, was later made public by journalists, Tamur.

Ibrahim now says that he gets a response in the way he did. He said, “I know I should not be reacted, but I am also new to a public investigation. When he made personal remarks about his body, it felt like a down-belt comment. But moving forward, I will be more composed. I should not react. It should not be again,” he told the Filmfare.
Moving forward about his nature, the actor admitted, “I’m a cool person … just joking! I can have a little fuse, but I am working on it. It’s not that I lose it randomly, but yes, if I am in a bad mood or something else, it can happen.”

For the film itself, Ibrahim admitted that ‘Nadaniyan’ was not universally loved, but believes that it was misunderstood. “People go to the film with a lot of expectations in the film.
He continued, “Social media is a disgusting world, now. He tried to turn it a lot. Certainly, as a prominent actor, I have to bring more load than I did. I know I can bring it and I am confident that I will bring it to my future projects. It’s good.”
When “Greatest Noida” was asked to rate his own performance as Arjun Mehta, Ibrahim gave himself three to three and a half stars out of five. He said, “Don’t be too high, but don’t leave yourself,” he said that there is a place to grow there, he is satisfied that he is still standing.
Meanwhile, the audience is still waiting for the release of Ibrahim’s first project, SarzminDirected by Kayoz Irani and starring Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran. Both films have been produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
