Ice Spice is set to release his new album titled Y2K on July 26, 2024. The album title is in honor of his birth date, January 1, 2000. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight during the recent awards evening of the BET Awards on Sunday, Ice Spice spoke about collaborations on his new album. One of the speculations that piqued fans’ interest was Taylor Swift. The two have previously collaborated on a remix version of Taylor’s song Karma.

Will Taylor Swift be on Ice Spice’s new album?
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 24-year-old singer confirmed her statement earlier this month about “crazy collaborations” on her album. She wasn’t ready to reveal names just yet, but there is more than one collaborator on the album. “There’s a couple,” she told ET. “That’s all I can say.”
When asked about fan speculations about Taylor’s inclusion on the album, Ice said, “I don’t know, let’s see, let’s see, let’s see.” He did not rule out the possibility of the Lover singer’s presence on his upcoming album. The two collaborated last year and Swift has been a big supporter of the rapper since then.
When asked about the inspiration behind her new album, she pointed to the 2004 Versace gown she wore to the awards ceremony and said, “Are you kidding? That’s where the inspiration comes from.”

The collaboration story behind the remix version of Karma
In 2023, Taylor revealed in a Spotify audio snippet how the two came together for a remix version of the former’s song. The conversation began when Ice’s team approached the Folklore singer to see if she would be interested in a collaboration soon. Taylor has been a fan of the Grammy-nominated rapper’s songs, so when the opportunity presented itself, the 34-year-old singer jumped at it without a second thought. “So I immediately got her number and said, ‘Hey, would you like to do your version of ‘Karma’? Do you relate to it?’ So she was on board right away”, Taylor said and the rest is history.
Ice is also preparing for a Y2K World Tour ahead of his album’s release.
