Actor Kamal Haasan launched 25 books in Chennai on Thursday (May 1, 2025) in Chennai to compile 25 books compiling works including actor and playwright ‘Crazy’ Mohan’s plays and short stories.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that he was happy that he finds each other. He said, “We have a story of two brothers born in each other’s homes. We speak every day. If someone listens to our conversation, they feel that we should have been in asylum. They did not mind my atheism; they accepted it.”
Director KS Ravikumar said that there were times when Mohan would continue to think and wait for 15 days to develop a character, but the dialogues came early with him. “If you ask him to write a dialogue for a film, he will write for four,” he said.
Actor Jairam said that although he acted in more than 300 films in the last 37 years, people of all languages remember Tenali And PanchantiramThose films where he co-contemplated with Mr. Haasan, directed by Mr. Ravikumar and scripted by Mohan. Publisher coalition Srinivasan said that he had been trying to publish Mohan’s plays since 1991.
“If the mad circle is capable of retaining itself since the 1980s, it is due to their clean comedy,” he said.
The coalition brought by publishers to mark its 125th anniversary, books will have the story and dialogues of plays, including Crazy thieves return, Allaudin and 100 Wat Bulb, Madhil Mail MadhuAnd Chocolate KrishnaAnd two plays written by Mohan for the theater personality Kahdi Ramamurthy. Popular Tamil magazine answers questions from readers Kalki And short stories seen in magazines are also included in books.
Actor Madu Balaji said that the books had a clean humor, and there were 25 sketches made by artist Keshav. “Play Chocolate Krishna will be released as a graphic novel. We are taking books in all schools and colleges and two senior citizens are also giving two sets of each book to homes and Padasalas,
