New Delhi: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar will host the International Indian Film Festival (IIFA) 2024 at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The awards ceremony is scheduled for September 28.
IIFA 2024 will be a three-day star-studded event 27 September To 29 September. The following events will take place on the first day, September 27 IIFA Utsavam; The second day, September 28, will be IIFA Awards; and will be performed on the last day, September 29 IIFA Rocks,
Shahid Kapoor is also all set to rock the stage with his performance in this star-studded series.
Shah Rukh Khan shared his thoughts with ANI about hosting the 24th edition of the IIFA Festival. He said, “IIFA is a celebration of Indian cinema that resonates across the world and it has been amazing to be a part of its journey over the years. I am looking forward to bringing alive the energy, passion and grandeur of IIFA once again as we gear up for an unforgettable celebration of Indian cinema this September.”
Following this, filmmaker Karan Johar also shared his excitement and deep personal connection with IIFA with ANI, saying, “For over two decades, IIFA has been an important part of my journey. My father, with his extensive industry experience and vision, was a key member of IIFA’s advisory board in its early years, contributing to its mission to celebrate Indian cinema.”
“His association with IIFA was a matter of immense pride, further cementing our family’s deep bond with the Indian film industry and its international reach. It is an absolute honour to rekindle the magic for an unprecedented third showcase on the iconic IIFA stage on September 27-29 with my dear friend Shah Rukh Khan,” Johar added.
This eagerly-awaited event will celebrate the best achievements of Indian cinema. The jury will comprise of industry stalwarts, critics and film experts who will thoroughly evaluate the cinematic achievements of the year.
