‘I’m going to die,’ Liam Payne repeatedly predicted his death before tragic fall as hotel guest who is ‘on drugs’

Liam Payne’s ex-fiancee, Maya Henry’s recent interview conversation has resurfaced following the death of the One Direction alumnus on Wednesday, October 16. The influencer, who broke off her engagement with the music star in 2022 citing infidelity issues, claimed that the late boy band member often predicted her death before his tragic demise at the age of 31.

Just days before Payne’s untimely fall from a third-floor Buenos Aires hotel room, the former model sat down for Monday’s episode of ‘The Internet is Dead’ podcast. The 23-year-old called out her ex for his manipulative tactics, after he took legal action against her last week.

Payne’s ex-fiancée issued a cease-and-desist order in the week leading up to his death, accusing him of repeatedly contacting her and her family. In her account, she also revealed how the boy band star was “always messaging” her despite their breakup. “Oh, I’m not okay,” she quoted the British singer-songwriter, as he often brought up his chaotic mental health in their conversations. “He was always playing with death and being like, ‘Well, I’m going to die. I’m not doing well.'”

Maya said that this would often make her feel bad for him, even though they are no longer romantically involved. The “Strip That Down” singer went Instagram official with Katie Cassidy in January 2023 following her split from Henry.

Henry added, “I tried to get help from him once and then he wouldn’t take it.” “He would text my mom, ‘I’m not well, Maya please contact me,’ because I wouldn’t respond.”

He alleged that the “same cycle” would be repeated often. In February, the influencer announced her fictional book ‘Looking Forward’ inspired by true events. The book is believed to be based on her journal entries from when she was dating Payne. One of the accounts claims that the “Teardrops” singer once even reached out to her mother and said, “I won’t be with her much longer.”

In return, Henry explained, “I don’t play with death. If you say so, I’ll try to help you, no matter what you do. I think he took advantage of my family’s kindness.” Speaking about the British singer’s mental health, Henry said that his health had deteriorated significantly in the days leading up to his death. Without elaborating on the extent of the problem due to legal issues, she claimed, “He would always just say, ‘I’m so sorry for what I’ve done. I can’t live with myself, ‘But still he is constantly trying to harass me.’

The former model reportedly even tried to get him back into rehab. However, his behavior and lifestyle reminded her of why she broke up in the first place. Still, she felt compelled to help her former partner. “I know the kind of lifestyle he lives, and there will come a day when something bad is going to happen, so I’ll always say, ‘Okay, he’s saying these things, I have to help him because if I If I don’t do this, I will win. If anything happens to him, I won’t be able to live with myself,” she added.

Henry’s book was released in May. She alleged that one of her former friends had warned her not to push for the release of the book because the singer was “not doing a good job.”

Liam Payne has spoken openly about his alcohol abuse before. In 2023, he revealed in a YouTube video about spending nearly 100 days in rehab and staying sober for six months.

The “Steal My Girl” singer fell from his third-floor hotel room on Wednesday. He was allegedly misbehaving and even broke his laptop in the hotel lobby. Ultimately, Payne was reportedly taken to his room.

911 call audio released by local Argentinian TV broadcasts showed the hotel owner calling for assistance, describing Payne as a “guest who is on drugs and destroying the entire room.” The British star was found dead at around 5pm local time. He began his trip to Argentina earlier this year to reunite with former bandmate, Niall Horan, who was due to perform in the South American country. The ongoing investigation has not yet determined whether Payne’s death was a suicide or an accident.
