New Delhi: Bollywood celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra and Ananya Pandey, have given their support for the India-Pakistan ceasefire.
Taking to her Instagram account, actress Kareena Kapoor supported the decision by writing the Indian flag Emojy “Rab … Jai Hind,”.
Actress Raveena Tandon also welcomed the declaration of ceasefire on her Instagram story, saying, “If this is true, it is a welcome decision. #Ceasfire.”
However, he added a cautious notes, emphasizing India’s position: “But don’t make any mistake, the day India bleeds again -#Statuspons’SRESTORISM – It will be a war work, and then hell to pay.”
He continued, “#IMF tracked it better where his money goes. The large powers may have approved these loans to get back the earlier loans, or so that more ammunition is bought, or whatever it is. But now and anytime, India should never give blood again.”
Raveena captioned her post, “#ceasefire but some things are very clear. I will support my country in all ways that I can do as a citizen.
Actress Parineeti Chopra expressed her support by writing with the hashtag #ceasefire, “Om Namah Shivaya”.
Malaika Arora also joined the Bandwagan of famous celebrities and wrote, “Thank God” while sharing an update on her story.
Other celebrities including Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan showed their support for the announcement through their Instagram stories.
US President Donald Trump shared the ceasefire decision on his X account.
His post read: “After a long night of the conversation held by the United States, I am happy to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a complete and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both countries for using general knowledge and great intelligence. Thank you for your attention!”
Additionally, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said during a press briefing: “Pakistan’s DGMO called India’s DGMO this afternoon 15:35 hours ago. It was agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing and military action on land, air and sea from 17:00 hours of IST.”
