Hyderabad: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) national spokesperson Ravinuthala Shasid has called the Telangana state government to cancel the upcoming Miss World 2025 event to be held in the state amidst increasing tension between India and Pakistan.
In a press release released on Friday, Shashistha questioned the participation of the contestants of countries who either have adverse relations or they are seen as sympathy for anti-India elements, especially mentioning Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey and Canada, labeled them as “enemy countries”.
“The Telangana government should cancel the Miss World pageant. How can a beauty competition be held with representatives of enemy countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Türkiye and Canada?
The Telangana government should immediately arrest illegal intruders, who have established the residence around DRDO & DRDL in Hyderabad.
The 72nd edition of Miss World Festival is scheduled to take place in Telangana from 7 to 31 May.
