New Delhi: This weekend, Indian Idol Season 15 on Sony Entertainment Television will usher in the festive season with a special “Christmas Concert” episode. The show will feature a host of celebrities as ‘Secret Santa’ who will surprise their favorite contestants, including Madhubanti Bagchi, Paradox, Bhumi Trivedi, Rishabh Sharma, Papon, Nikhita Gandhi, Priyank Sharma, Miang Chang and Dear CID. The team includes ACP Pradyuman. (Shivaji Satam), Senior Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), and Senior Inspector Daya (Dayanand Shetty).
Indian Idol 15 contestant and blessed face of Idol Ragini Shinde expressed her admiration for India’s iconic crime show, CID. “I only watch CID,” she said. I have watched all the episodes and still watch repeats!” When asked about his favorite characters, he said, “All three are my favourites, but Abhijeet sir is my favourite.”
Shivaji Satam, who plays the role of ACP Pradyumna, praised Ragini’s singing talent and said, “I heard your song, and I just want to say that it is amazing, beautiful. There is something divine in your voice. I had already told Daya and Aditya to listen to you. He is incredible.”
Shreya Ghoshal also joined the conversation, sharing, “I heard that Lata ji also loves CID. She has met you (CID team) and told you this. So, from Lata ji to Ragini’s generation, there is a connection.
Shivaji Satam replied, “That’s what we say – the CID and we are all blessed by the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.” He also expressed his appreciation for the judges, saying, “We are big fans. We were just talking about it backstage. We don’t get time to meet, but we watch the show and always hope that one day we will meet.
Vishal Dadlani said, “I can’t explain how happy my heart is. It has been six years since you all came into our lives. For six years I have been hearing people saying, ‘You have replaced the CID, bring back the CID!’ The public is crazy about you. It’s not just a show – CID is a culture in India!”
Dayanand Shetty, also known as Daya, praised Ragini’s dedication and talent, saying, “It was amazing. You’ve gone beyond door-breaking demonstrations – you’ve already gone two steps further. When Sir told me about your dedication at such a young age, it is clear that you will achieve great achievements.”
As a token of appreciation, Daya presents the CID badge to Ragini.
