Inside Lily Collins and Ashley Park’s glamorous train ride for Emily in Paris Season 5

Netflix went all out for Emily in Paris Season 5. According to People, the streamer sent its stars on a 24-hour luxury train trip across Europe, making a press tour closer to a cinematic event. On December 13, Lily Collins, Ashley Park and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, along with series creator Darren Star, boarded the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express for an overnight journey from Venice to Paris.

People said that this route was made deliberately. Both cities are included in the series, and the tour ended on 15 December, just in time for the world premiere at Le Grand Rex theater in Paris.

From Venice to Paris: In the Style of Emily Cooper

The story of Season 5 begins in Rome before returning to Paris after the end of Season 4. But Emily doesn’t stay long. A new business opportunity draws her to Venice, setting the stage for new professional chaos and a complicated romance.

The train ride reflected that sense of speed and spectacle. Collins arrived early for the 11 a.m. departure, allowing time for photos before the tour began. Parks, who told People she’s traveled this route before, said, referring to Collins, “I’ve definitely never been with my best friend.”

Meanwhile, Leroy-Beaulieu admitted that although she is “not at all like her character Sylvie”, she still brought Sylvie-level confidence to the trip, especially when it came to fashion and posing.

Every detail on board was designed with the show in mind. There were touches of Emily in Paris everywhere in the rooms, including a special edition newspaper filled with show updates and custom pajamas for each guest. “The attention to detail is amazing,” Collins said.

The first part of the trip focused on press and promotional commitments. In the afternoon, the group gathered for tea service, where guests played an adapted version of Guess Who? Featuring characters from the series. He also wrote postcards that were sent directly from the train, hinting at an unexpected moment at the end of Season 5.

Dinner, music, and late night solo singing

By 8:30 pm, dinner service began in the center car, followed by live music. Afterward, the party moved to the bar, where Park performed La Vie en Rose and Mon Soleil from the show, People reported.

As the night progressed, Collins and Leroy-Beaulieu joined in the dancing, while the pianist began karaoke including dancing queens. Content creator and actress Dylan Mulvaney was among the guests who later sang Joni Mitchell’s Both Sides Now.

The night ended quietly. Collins later shared photos on Instagram, showing she and Park wearing matching pajamas. By morning, it was time for one last travel ritual, a mirror selfie, which Emily Cooper would not miss.
