Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha married her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony at her apartment in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday. After the ceremony, the newlywed couple hosted a grand reception at Bastian. Now, a few days later, Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha has shared some inside pictures from the reception party, which features him, his wife Poonam and the newlyweds. The actor-politician posted some pictures and videos on X (formerly Twitter) to thank people for their congratulatory messages, calling it the “wedding of the century”. Sharing the pictures and videos, he wrote on X, “With a sense of gratitude we would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us on our special day, which seems to be the ‘wedding of the century’ with your warmth, love, congratulatory messages for our beloved daughter #SonakshiSinha and #ZaheerIqbal as they begin a new chapter in the beautiful journey of their lives.”

Earlier this week, Shatrughan Sinha had given his reaction on his daughter’s wedding. When asked how he was feeling on his daughter’s wedding day, Shatrughan told Times Now, “Is this even something to ask? Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is handed over to her chosen groom. My daughter looks the happiest with Zaheer. May their union remain safe,” he said.
He added, “44 years ago, Shatrughan Sinha married Poonam Sinha, a very successful, very beautiful and very talented girl of his choice. Now it is Sonakshi’s turn to marry the boy of her choice.”
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal registered their marriage under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act. According to an IANS report, the civil ceremony took place at the bride’s new apartment, 81 Aureate, which is located near the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra West, Mumbai.
