New York: The International Amy Awards announced its nomination on Thursday, 25 September, marking a record-setting year with 64 nominees in 16 categories of 26 countries.
The enrollment of the big tick is ‘Amar Singh Chakkila’ of India, which has Diljit Dosanjh.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film revolves around the story of the late folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila of Punjab, often called “Elvis of Punjab”. The film is nominated in the Best TV Movie/Mini-Series category, while Dosanj himself has received nominations for the best actor.
Other major titles in Running include BBC Crime-Comedy ‘Ludwig’, who received the best comedy and nominations for the best actor for David Mitchell, and included ‘rivals’ from the United Kingdom, nominated in the best drama.
