Mumbai: International Women’s Day is an opportunity that recognizes the achievements and tenacity of women around the world and considers their achievements in the society. On this special occasion, experienced actor Anupam Kher spoke about the role of women in family and society and the importance of women empowerment.
In a conversation with Annie, he shared, “The first person who comes in a person’s life is a woman as a mother. A mother is everyone’s first love … I was raised in a house where I saw that women are getting a lot of respect. I am personally celebrated every day. I celebrate Women’s Day every day.
International Women’s Day is a global day, which comes on 8 March every year and celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tribute to ‘Nari Shakti’, recognizing the strength and contribution of women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
In a post on X, PM Modi announced that his social media platforms will be taken by women in diverse fields, their achievements will be demonstrated on the occasion.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kher will be seen in Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Tumko Meri Kasam’. The film was the founder of the relaxed IVF, Dr. Ajay is inspired by the life of Murdia, a nationwide range of reproductive clinics.
‘Tumko Meri Kasam’ is presented by Mahesh Bhatt, Indira Entertainment, built by Indira Entertainment, Shwetambari Bhatt and Krishna Bhatt Sarda, they are project directors.
It stars actors Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, Adha Sharma and Isha Deol in the lead roles. The music is by Pretake Walia. The songs are of Vikram Bhatt and Shweta Bothra. Music is with Zee. The film will be released on 21 March.
