New Delhi: Ahead of ‘International Yoga Day’, actress Sangeeta Ghosh, who recently returned with ‘Saajha Sindoor’ on Sun Neo, shared details about her yoga routine. She revealed how yoga has improved her performance and stressed on the importance of adopting this ancient remedy for everyone.
Sharing how yoga has helped her, Sangeeta said, “Yoga is a must for someone with a busy schedule like me. Shooting for 12+ hours a day can be really tiring, so staying healthy and fit is a must. Yoga helps me stay focused and calm, which is very important when I am on set. It also keeps my body flexible and strong, reducing the risk of getting physically and mentally exhausted, which can hinder my work. Doing just a few minutes of yoga every day helps me recharge and keep my energy levels up. It also improves my sleep, so I wake up feeling refreshed and ready for another long day. Yoga supports my mental well-being, helps me manage stress and stay positive. For me, yoga is like a lifeline that keeps me grounded and focused amidst the chaos of a busy acting career.”
“My favourite yoga postures like Surya Namaskar are a complete workout for me. It stretches and strengthens my whole body from head to toe. It is like a full body refreshment that combines flexibility, strength and mindfulness all in one,” she said.
The actress plays Saroj, a villainess in Saaja Sindoor. Encouraging people to take up yoga for a better life, Sangeeta said, “Everyone should practice yoga as it offers so many benefits for both the body and mind. It’s not about being perfect, but about progressing and feeling good inside and out. It’s a practice that adapts to your needs and abilities, making it accessible to everyone. It’s a journey of self-discovery and growth, which provides a path to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle.”
The story of Saaja Sindoor revolves around Phooli (Stuti Vinkle), a young woman who is labelled as an ‘unmarried widow’ after her groom dies on the day of their wedding.
