Truck seen carrying protesters in Seoul
According to the report, some of the messages written on the protest truck read, “Telling his fans to rest assured, he came back to them with a DUI. Drunk driver Suga, D-day to leave the group is today. 7-1 = 6. ARMY will complete the group. Drunk driver Suga out. Kick Suga out of BTS. We don’t need a criminal who betrays fans. Suga, leave the group of your own free will before things get ugly.”



How will the protest take place?
An ex-Twitter user, @idoitsueit, shared the tweets It read, “We have reached the target amount for fundraising and closed it. Thank you to everyone who participated in the campaign, even though it was kept private. Starting tomorrow, the truck and flower garland campaigns will run simultaneously. During the campaign, we will have a staff member managing the flower garlands, and the trucks will be roaming around busy areas of Seoul even on weekends. We appreciate your interest and support!”
Where were the protest trucks seen?
According to the report, the routes of the trucks included the road in front of HYBE and Nine One Hannam, Yongsan Station/Seoul Station, Hongdae, Hapjeong, Sangam, Seongsu, Keonkuk University Station, Jamsil, Gangnam Station, Banpo Bus Terminal. Following this, BTS ARMY took to X to show their support for Suga and started trending the hashtags- #SugaStaysChallenge and #SugaStays.
BTS ARMY reacts to protest trucks
One person wrote, “This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in a while. It’s pointless to send trucks when the police are doing their own investigation. Don’t do something just because you want to.” One comment read, “Opposing fans came with trucks carrying the news of Suga being kicked out of the group!!! The news said the ARMY did it! No!!! Rumors and lies!!!”
One fan tweeted, “You don’t understand, he is everything to me. He is to so many people. I can feel the deep pain his soul family is going through right now. Keep fighting for him ARMY.” “No one can touch my baby as long as I’m here for him! BTS IS SEVEN!” another person wrote. An x user said, “Stop it now. He didn’t hurt anyone or himself. He fell near the door like he said. He wasn’t driving fast. Trolls, just stop it!”
What happened to Suga?
The incident happened last week when Suga was returning home on his electric scooter after drinking alcohol. The following day, both Suga and BigHit Music released statements on Weverse apologizing to fans. Suga’s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level was 0.227%, which is eight times the legal limit. Police have launched a criminal investigation.
Recently, Donga Ilbo released CCTV footage that showed a man driving an electric seated scooter at around 11.10 pm on August 6. In the clip, he was not driving very fast, but as he turned left near the building, he slipped and fell. However, he got up and even picked up the vehicle.
The incident took place near the main entrance of Nine One Hannam Apartments. Some police officers walking nearby approached him. BTS’ agency confirmed that the man in the footage was Suga. The 31-year-old rapper is serving as a social service agent, an alternative form of military service in South Korea.
