Kolkata: Popular singers Shreya Ghoshal, Karan Auzla, and actor Disha Patani are fully prepared to perform at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 opening ceremony at Eden Gardens in Kolata. The official X page of the Indian Premier League shared an update about the performance.

The Eden Gardens will mark both the conclusion and closing of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League 2025, on March 22, by hosting the tournament opener between Defending Champions, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore and finalizing on 25 May.
The home ground of Eden Gardens, KKR will also play hosts for Qualifier 2 on 23 May. In particular, this is the first time in a decade, that the IPL will end in the prestigious Eden Gardens, this was done earlier in 2013 and 2015.
The IPL said in a statement, “The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the program for the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The 18th edition of the prestigious tournament will begin on 22 March, 2025, and the final will be played on 25 May, 2025.”
The other two playoff matches, qualifiers 1 and eliminators will be played on May 20 and 21 May in Hyderabad, 2024 runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 20 and 21 May respectively.
Overall, the IPL 2025 will include 74 matches spread over 65 days, including 12 double-headers. The tournament will close on March 22 with a mouth -watering relationship between KKR and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The next day (March 23), there will be a double-headed action on the card for fans, in which SRH will take Rajasthan Royals in the first match, followed by the most famous rivalry of IPL. On the same day, two five -time champions, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians, will add another chapter to their rivalry in Chepack.
Three of the ten IPL teams will play at two places. Visakhapatnam and Arun Jaitley will play their home games at Delhi Capital New Delhi.
Rajasthan Royals will play their two home games against KKR and CSK in Guwahati. Royals will then play the remaining house games at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings will play four home matches at the new PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh. The beautiful Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium (HPCA) stadium in Dharamsala will host PBK’s three domestic games against LSG, DC and MI.
