IPL 2025: Shah Rukh Khan Cheers KKR, Thanks Skipar Rahane before the match opening match – clock

Shah Rukh Khan, a Bollywood superstar and co-owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), greeted the team before the team before his opening match against the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

In a video shared by KKR’s official Instagram handle, Shah Rukh Khan was seen personally congratulating each player in the dressing room.

On Friday evening, Shah Rukh Khan landed in Kolkata to attend the grand opening ceremony of IPL 2025 at Eden Garden.

Wearing a white T-shirt added with denim jeans, the actor created a stylish entrance. He also congratulated his fans at the airport, waving and kissing, much for his happiness.

KKR’s initial match against RCB revived the memories of the inaugural IPL game in 2008 when Brendon McCullum knocked a historic knock of 158 runs for KKR against the same opponent.

Both teams enter the season with change in leadership. Ajinkya Rahane has taken over as the captain of KKR, while Rajat Patidar has led the RCB. RCB is keen to break its four -match defeat against KKR.

Spin bowling is expected to be an important factor in the game. KKR claims an experienced spin attack featuring Varun Chakraborty and Sunil Narin, supported by Moina Ali and Anukulu Roy.

On the other hand, RCB’s spin department is led by Krunal Pandya, with the help of Swapnil Singh, Liam Livingstone, Jacob Bethel and young spinner Suyash Sharma, who first played for KKR in 2023.

The batting line-up of both teams also promises an exciting competition. RCB’s explosive batting unit includes Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Liam Livingstone, Phil Salat and Jitesh Sharma.

Meanwhile, KKR’s batting order includes Quinton de Koke, Rinku Singh, Ajinkya Rahane and Venkatesh Iyer.
