Deadpool and Wolverine promises to feature multiple versions of Deadpool from across the multiverse, but one character remains a topic of discussion online. No, it’s not Dogpool or Headpool, it’s Lady Deadpool aka Wanda Wilson.
The theories began circulating following a trailer released in June 2024. At the thirty-second mark, the clip showed a pair of legs in a suit similar to Deadpool’s while the title character played by Ryan Reynolds says in a voiceover, “I’m about to lose everything I ever cared about.”
The final trailer released ahead of the film’s premiere on July 26, 2024 added fuel to the fire. It showed a mysterious figure with blonde hair wearing a red and black suit similar to Deadpool’s, fueling rumors that this could be the introduction of Lady Deadpool to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speculation that Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively would play Lady Deadpool was fueled by the leg reveal. After the blonde hair was unveiled in the final trailer, fans have even more reason to suspect that the former Gossip Girl actress could be taking on the role. But one fan theory that’s skyrocketing is that Lady Deadpool could be Taylor Swift.
Is Taylor Swift playing Lady Deadpool?
The pop star seems like the most obvious choice to cameo in Deadpool and Wolverine, a rumor that has been circulating for some time. Swift is a close friend of Reynolds and Blake, and was spotted at an NFL game in October 2023 with Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy.
Excitement over Swift’s potential appearance grew even more when a photo of her in a Deadpool costume resurfaced, revealing that Reynolds had loaned her the suit for Halloween. This photo, as well as Reynolds’ praise for the pop star, has led fans to believe that Swift’s cameo may indeed be on the horizon.

But Entertainment Tonight’s report has debunked all the rumors, stating that Swift was so busy with her Eras Tour that she didn’t shoot for Marvel.
However, director Levy left fans in even more trouble. He said wrap“It’s a double whammy. It’s related to Taylor. And it’s related to the MCU. I’m no idiot. You’ll have to wait and see.”
