Toronto: Met Gala was seen sharing a place once again once again with music royalty, after turning his head with his original-until the head in 2025, after turning his head with his original-revolutionary appearance, this time not on a red carpet, but on an international stage which celebrates the future of music.
On June 11, 2025, Diljit was invited as a special speaker at NXNE in Tiff Lightbox, Toronto, marking the launch of the Billboard Summit in Canada.
The first time for an Indian artist, who is being postponed, sat for a conversation with ‘Bourne to Shine’ Hitmaker, the Recording Academy President, the organization behind the Grammy Awards, Paan -e -Panay.
A snipet was shared on his official Instagram handle by Diljit’s team from the conversation.
Paneos asked Diljit’s Abhinic Met Gala car with Shakira and Nicole Sherzinger, “You know, you have cooperated with Sia. This morning I was watching your video with Ed Sheeran. The rumor is that you are carpul with Shakira. I am keen that you see these conflicts with an artistic attitude.”
For this, Diljit replied, “Don’t lie to the hips, sir …” appreciating the crowd, adding, “he invited me on his tour and suggested that I do an Indian version of ‘hips donated’. It’s going to be difficult, but I am sure I will find it.”
Diljit’s team also shared a video while speaking about his relationship with Indian roots and representing him globally.

Earlier this year, Diljit spent fans with his Met Gala debut. Proudly representing his Sikh identity, he ran the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in traditional Indian dress, a turban, kurta, and tehmat, designed by all Indian fashion designers Prabal Gurung. But the one who is actually in the headlines was the moment of a rear scenes, a funny video posted by his team, showing Diljit Chilling in a luxury car with Shakira and Nicole Sherzinger.
In the clip, Shakira enthusiastically introduced him to his fans, “Diljit! Diljit!” While he responds with a hot namaste.
She then smiles on the camera and says, “Hi for India.”
Another picture shared by Diljit’s team on his Instagram handle from evening showed all three together in a special dinner organized by Anna Wintor.
