On Tuesday, the Pink Skies hitmaker shared on X, “Eagles > Chiefs, Kanye > Taylor, who’s with me.” This sparked a flurry of scathing comments from Swifties, who saw the tweet as an attack on both the Cruel Summer hitmaker and her boyfriend Travis Kelce. In response to the outrage, Bryan wrote on Instagram, “For the record guys I was not coming for Taylor that night. I was drunkenly comparing two records and it came out wrong.”

“I know there’s a lot of stuff surrounding Ye and I was just talking about the music. I love Taylor’s music and I pray you guys know that I’m human too and sometimes tweet stupid things,” he added. “Hopefully one day I can explain that to her. Twitter gets me in a lot of trouble and I would say it’s best to stay away from it. I apologize to all of Taylor’s fans that I’ve offended or disappointed. I love you guys and I’m trying my best!” Brian added.

In another story, the Something In The Orange singer revealed he’s “going through a tough time in my life and I guess I was showing off a bit.” Bryan admitted his tweet was “rude and insensitive” to the Midnights singer. “I respect him so much as a musician that the last thing I want is for people to think I don’t appreciate and love what he’s done for music. Ok, this ends here! Love you guys and hope you guys understand. Don’t drink and tweet. Don’t drink and tweet!!”
