James Bond Star George Lazenby announces retirement: “This was no easy decision”

Australian actor George Lazenby is best known for playing the iconic role of James Bond in the 1969 film ‘The Man Hood’. on her Majesty’s Secret Servicehas decided to put a full stop to his acting career. A few days ago, Lazenby went on X and announced his decision to retire, according to Variety. “It was not an easy decision, but it is now time to announce my retirement from work. Therefore, starting today I will not be making any more acting or public appearances, giving any more interviews or signing any more autographs,” George Lazenby posted.

He also expressed his gratitude to the audience who have showered him with love over the years. The actor added: “I would like to thank my manager and friend, Anders Frij, who has helped me since 2013 – he has been the best representative I have ever had.” “I can now focus on spending more time with my family. My heartfelt gratitude to everyone for your love and support over the years. It means so much to me. George xx,” Lazenby added.

George Lazenby’s tenure as the world’s most famous secret agent was the shortest, playing 007 in just one film.
