James Gunn has officially wrapped filming on his highly anticipated superhero movie. Superman: LegacyIn a touching social media post, Gunn expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew who contributed to the project. He shared a photo from the first week of shooting in Svalbard, Norway, capturing an early moment of his trip.

“And it’s done,” Gunn announced on Instagram. “God bless our cast and crew whose commitment, creativity and hard work brought this project to life.”
Gunn reflected on the emotional experience of creation Superman“I set out to make a film about a good person in a world that isn’t always so nice. And the goodness, kindness and love that I see every day on set has inspired me and pushed me to keep going even when I felt I couldn’t. Thank you so much to all of you. It’s been an honor,” he wrote.
He also stressed the importance of the journey rather than just the destination. Gunn said, “The destination has been Superman, but the journey has been the hard work, the laughter, the emotions, the ideas and the magic we shared together on set – and for that I will always be grateful.”

Superman: Legacy David Corenswet stars in the title role, with a release date set for July 11, 2025. The star-studded cast includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Maria Gabriela de Faria as the Engineer. Other cast members include Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, Sean Gunn, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced, and Nathan Fillion.
