New Delhi: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, currently promoting her upcoming romantic-comedy supreme beautifies, added a touch of glamor and festive spirit at the Janamashtami celebrations in Mumbai on Saturday. The actress attended a local Dahi Handi Handy event, where she was seen getting entangled with the crowd and participating in traditional rituals.
Traditional glamor meets Vibe
Wearing a soft pastel traditional dress, Janhvi wore a embroidered blouse with a flowing skirt. Her hair was styled in a braid adorned with traditional accessories, and she completed the look with a statement necklace and chunky earrings. Videos of this program, which now go viral on social media, show Janhvi surrounded by a happy crowd, as he celebrated the occasion with BJP MLA Ram Kadam.

Chanting a patriotism in a religious festival
In one of the most operated clips, Janhvi can be heard chanting the “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” moments before breaking the right elephant with coconut. While the crowd appeared happy at the time, the video quickly became a talkings point online, although not fully intended for reasons.
Mixed reactions online
The moment provoked a wave of reactions from the neccess. Many people jokingly said that Janhvi had confused Janamashtami with Independence Day, which was previously celebrated in the same week. One user took a pinch, “Sanskrit paper mein calculator was sung,” while the other wrote, “This week was so hard to rotate between festivals that he forgot his name and reasons.” A third comment just read, “New mess”.
