Janhvi Kapoor, who is busy promoting her spy thriller Ulj, opened up in an interview about being a victim of trolls on social media as a star kid. Mashable India. When asked how she deals with trolls and online hate, Janhvi Kapoor said, “Apne apne serious mat lo (don’t take yourself too seriously), ye jo social media ke culture mai hai if you are a public figure or not a public figure you don’t want to be trolled (people don’t want to comment on anything). Aap hi ik lotte insaan ho iss duniya mein sab logo mere peechhe pade hai (You are just a lot of people, this is not so serious).”
Janhvi Kapoor further said, “The things for which you are praising me, tomorrow you will abuse me for the same things, so what am I going to sit at home and cry? (Should I cry for this?) So the way you see yourself is more important.”
Earlier, the Dhadak actor, in an interview with Hautecole, had spoken about the mood swings she experiences during her menstrual cycle and how it affected her romantic relationship. Talking about her first heartbreak, Janhvi said that the same person made her reconcile with it. “I have experienced heartbreak only once in my life, but the same person came back and mended my heart. So everything was good,” Janhvi recalled.
Recalling the days when her hormonal changes affected their relationship, Janhvi said, “For a few years during my periods, every month I would break up with this person. The first two or three months, he would be in shock, but after that, he would be like, “Yeah, okay” and after two days, I would go back to him crying and saying sorry. I couldn’t understand why my mind was working like this. It was extreme.”
Ulj also stars Adil Hussain, Rajesh Tailang, Rajendra Gupta and Jitendra Joshi. The film is directed by Sudhanshu Saria, who won a National Award for directing the short film Knock, Knock, Knock. Ulj is produced by Vineet Jain under the banner of Junglee Pictures and co-produced by Amrita Pandey.
