Jason Shah Hiramandi Shooting experience: “If I had said anything more, it would have caused problems”

Jason Shah gained fame for his role of British officer Cartwright. Hiramandi: Diamond market. The Netflix original marked the OTT debut of veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Months after the show’s release, Jason opened up about his concerns on the set and how he could have been labelled as a “trouble maker”. During his appearance on The Post Inside the mind, with RushabhJason explained how he could have done better. He said, “This was his (Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s) first time (working on a web series). A film is a little different because web is a little spread out, you get a lot of episodes to make, and it’s not made in a short time… He wasn’t even directing that much. There were other directors with me. I felt we could have worked on it a little more, and a lot of colours could have come out. I think it had potential.”

Jason Shah also revealed that there was a “lack of communication” rather than a “misunderstanding” on the set of the show. Citing Ben Kingsley’s role in the 1982 film, Shah also revealed that there was a “lack of communication” rather than a “misunderstanding” on the set of the show. Earlier, in an exclusive chat with NDTV, the actor revealed that basic human kindness was lacking. He said, “I felt it lacked the simple goodness of human nature. I wasn’t introduced to many people there, which I found very strange and a bit confusing. Then I started thinking that since I play the villain, they want me to be angry and aloof from everyone. But for me, it never fits into my character to be attached to any human being on the set. I definitely felt a bit uncomfortable, but I guess you just go with the flow of things.”
