New Delhi: Veteran Punjabi actor and comedian Jaswinder Bhalla died on Friday morning at the age of 65 in Mohali. According to ANI reports, Bhalla was battling the disease for the last few months. His passing has abandoned a deep void in the Punjabi Entertainment Industry and among millions of fans.

Soon after the news of his death, condolences started with political leaders:
Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Delhi Deputy CM wrote on social media, “The news of the death of famous comedian Jaswinder Bhalla ji of Punjab is very sad. He brought smiles on the face of millions with his art.

Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa also wrote, “The stage of Punjabi laughter is silent and empty today … Jaswinder Bhalla ji was a living symbol of Punjabi intelligence, humor and soul. With his unmatched talent, he changed the simplicity in laughter and smiling.

Sorrow in film industry
The Punjabi Entertainment fraternity also expressed a shock and sorrow over Bhalla’s passing.
Actor Gippy Grewal shared a series of photographs with Bhalla and wrote an emotional note, “It is very difficult to believe. I am in shock. He was like a father, patron and talented actor who was for us in the whole industry, which is like a family, it was very strong. It was very strong. It is the worst news. It is the worst news.
Actress Jasmine Bhasin, who works with Bhalla, re -designed Grewal’s tribute and said, “I wake up my heart while awakening the news of Bhalla Sir’s sad demise. I was lucky to work with you that Sir will remember your energy, your love for your craft will be sure you will lighten the heaven with your positiveness now.”
Actress Neeru Bajwa, who is known for acting in prestigious Punjabi films, also mourned her death on her social media. He captioned the post, “It was deeply saddened to wake up for tragic news.
Funeral on Saturday
According to a report by News18, Jaswinder Bhalla’s funeral will be performed on Saturday, 23 August in Balgi near Mohali.
