Singer Ariana Grande recently faced massive criticism from Jeffrey Dahmer’s victim’s family. The backlash started from her previous comment on a podcast show, in which she mentioned her fascination for the 90s serial killer and said that she would have loved to have dinner with him. Her revelations hurt the feelings of many people who were directly or indirectly hurt by Dahmer. One of the victim’s family members publicly expressed his disgust against the singer’s words.

Family members of Dahmer’s victims described Ariana as ‘mentally ill’
One of Jeffrey Dahmer’s young victims was Tony Hughes. The victim’s sister Shirley expressed her deep displeasure to TMZ about the Thank U, Next singer’s comments about the deadly serial killer. She said, “I think he’s sick out of his mind. It’s not fancy or fun to say you wanted to have dinner with him. It’s not anything you should say to young people, what he said he did”.
Tony Hughes was 31 years old when he fell victim to Dahmer’s deadly intentions in 1991. Tony’s other sister Barbara also expressed similar sentiments on the singer’s comment about having dinner with a serial killer. She stressed that Grande should be careful when talking about such sensitive topics as such comments from celebrities tend to glamorize the horrific deeds of a killer.
Barbara also expressed her wish that the singer apologizes to those she hurt with her unacceptable comments and sends the right message to her fans.

“Jeffrey Dahmer is very attractive,” Ariana said
Earlier this month, Ariana Grande appeared on a podcast called Podcrushed hosted by Penn Badgley. The singer revealed during the podcast that she was obsessed with serial killers in her youth, as Page Six reported.

She remembered a Q&A session in which a young fan asked her who she would like to go on a dinner date with, alive or dead, and she responded, after getting consent from a parent to give the real answer, “I thought, ‘I mean, Jeffrey Dahmer is very fascinating. I think I would have loved to meet him. You know, maybe with a third party or another person. But I have questions”.
The “7 Rings” singer also discussed her experiences on the sets of “Sam & Cat” and “Victorious” on Nickelodeon in the podcast, followed by an interview with The Quit on Set documentary.
