The marriage between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez is rumoured to be on the rocks. Amid reports of a separation that have emerged after Bennifer split, Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner has reportedly been with him more often. There is speculation that Garner’s increased presence may be motivated by a desire to support the actor, who is on the ‘verge of a breakdown’, perhaps even acting as a source of stability amid reports of marital woes with the pop star.
Jennifer Garner had no choice but to help Affleck
The 13 Going On 30 actress is currently dating John Miller and has three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck: Violet Anne, 18, Seraphina Rose, 15, and Samuel, 12. Sources report that Garner has been visiting Affleck regularly since he moved into her Brentwood neighbourhood, and it’s claimed she doesn’t want him “hanging around” again during this difficult period.
“Jen wants to put the pieces of Ben and J.Lo’s broken relationship back together, but she has no choice,” a source told OK! magazine, explaining why the mother of three is spending so much time with her ex-husband despite his marital problems.
‘Garner is opening up to friends like never before’
The source added, “People close to Affleck have been worried about him for some time now. He’s been in a bad place and has become isolated.” Garner has been trying to explain to her friends why she’s so involved in them. The Alias star was also reportedly skeptical when Ben and Jen decided to get married after rekindling their decade-long love.
Earlier, a Daily Mail report stated that Jennifer Garner’s current partner John Miller believes it is ‘not his responsibility’ to resolve issues between Affleck and his current wife Jennifer Lopez. This comes after reports that Garner is ‘overly focused’ on resolving marital tensions.

Garner’s biggest concern is that ‘Ben’s condition is getting worse than before’
Bennifer’s fairytale comeback might be hit by a hindrance. Fans can spot Ben Affleck playing hide and seek with his wedding ring, which is a sign of marital problems. While J.Lo continues to proudly wear her ring, Affleck’s finger is sometimes seen bare and sometimes adorned. On the other hand, The Accountant 2 star has been spotted spending more and more time with his kids these days, and he has also been spotted smiling from ear to ear, which everyone missed during his ‘angry’ outing with J.Lo.

Sources speculate that Garner, aware of Affleck’s past battles with addiction, fears he may relapse. Despite their romantic separation, they remain friends for the sake of their children, whom they raise together.
“She says her biggest worry is that Ben’s condition will get worse than it already is. She’s not going to let that happen,” the source said, adding that Garner will also feel “responsible” for him because of their kids.
