Actress Jennifer Lawrence will be seen in a new murder mystery film. WivesShe will not only star in the project but is also associated with it Wives As a producer, report The Hollywood Reporter,
Joining Lawrence on the production team are Justin Ciarrocchi, his partner in the duo’s Excellent Cadaver Productions banner, as well as Tony and Independent Spirit Award nominees Jeremy O. Harris (Zola, Slave Play) and Josh Godfrey. Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley have written the script for the project, which is said to be in development.
Breslin is best known for his stage work. Most recently he directed Invasive Species by Maya Novy at the Vineyard Theatre and as Creative Director of Fake Friends with Foley, the Pulitzer finalist Circle Jerk and This American Wife from Fourthwall Theatricals.
Exact plot details have not yet been revealed, but the film is being described as being “somewhat inspired by The Real Housewives franchise, which focuses on the serialized and exaggerated dramatizations of affluent women from areas ranging from Orange County to Miami and Atlanta.”

Wives will be co-produced by Apple Studios and A24. The two companies, as well as Lawrence, previously worked on the 2022 drama Causeway. Apple and A24 have quickly become one of the trusted partnerships in town. Lawrence was last seen in the R-rated comedy don’t feel bad and appeared alongside Leonardo DiCaprio don’t look up,
