Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated the Fourth of July separately amid troubles in their marriage. The two were surrounded by friends and family for the special occasion. However, the two celebrated it away from each other and Lopez enjoyed the coastal view in the Hamptons, New York. Meanwhile, Affleck celebrated Independence Day in Los Angeles with his three children. Celebrating in two different places added to the time the two have been away from each other this summer.

Jennifer went shopping on Friday, July 5, after celebrating with her manager Benny Medina in Bridgehampton, reports People magazine. A source close to Lopez said the On the Floor singer celebrated the national holiday “with family and friends” and “always enjoys” the local coastal scene. The source added that she “seemed fine” during the vacation. A few days ago, JLo was spotted wearing his wedding band again with Ben Affleck.
Meanwhile, Affleck was in the opposite coastal region of Los Angeles, where he visited his office and spent time with his three children. The Batman star was also spotted enjoying lunch at Baltaire restaurant. He recently completed the shooting schedule in Los Angeles for his upcoming film The Accountant 2, which is a sequel to his 2016 film.
As for Lopez, who was last seen in a Coach campaign, it’s reported that her production team is in talks with Netflix for a series adaptation of Emily Henry’s BookTok-approved novel, Happy Place. The singer recently made headlines with her trip to Southern Italy, Europe and a front seat at the Christian Dior Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show in Paris.

Jennifer and Ben will spend this summer apart
According to People magazine, the Hollywood couple are spending this summer away from each other, focusing on their personal lives. A source close to Lopez revealed that the couple has “no plans for a summer together” this time around. It was also reported that Affleck moved his stuff out of his Beverly Hills mansion just as the Ain’t Your Mama singer was on her Europe tour.
The two got married in a ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022. Lopez is the mother of twins with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
