Jennifer Lopez shares her “resilient” story about one of her most meaningful roles as she navigates a year of personal changes. Lopez played the role of Judy Robles in the film Unstoppable, based on the true story of NCAA wrestling champion Anthony Robles, starring opposite Jerrel Jerome.
Unstoppable is produced by his former partner Ben Affleck and his close collaborator Matt Damon. Notably, just in August, she filed for divorce from Affleck after months of speculation about their relationship.
“When I first learned the true story behind Unstoppable, I was stunned beyond words,” she wrote, sharing a cover page on Instagram. The film tells the inspiring story of Anthony Robles, who overcame the odds to become a wrestling champion despite being born with only one leg.
Judy worked closely with Lopez during filming, praising her portrayal of the ups and downs of her own life. “She was really able to understand how I felt — the ups and downs,” Judy shared with Entertainment Weekly.
“When I saw the movie, when I saw myself, I thought, ‘Oh, yes, I was very weak. I kind of don’t want to see that part of me.’ But I know that was my growth journey.

“I have been a single mother many times in my life, and [I’ve asked,] ‘Am I enough for him?'” she revealed. “And the truth is that all you really need is a good parent to love you. You hear it in Anthony’s voice and see what he’s been able to achieve. That’s what the film gave me: You are enough.”
