Infamous Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, reportedly heading for divorce, were spotted working in the same building in Los Angeles. While the former couple has managed to maintain a cordial relationship after the separation, reports suggest that their divorce proceedings could get ‘ugly’ due to the absence of a prenuptial agreement. Despite living separately, the couple still share their LA office building, where they narrowly escaped an ‘awkward’ encounter.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck almost bumped into each other
According to PageSix, the pop star and her estranged husband were spotted at their shared office building in Los Angeles just half an hour apart on Wednesday. The pop star wore a striking parrot green maxi dress with stylish slits and cuts, and arrived with a poker face. Affleck, on the other hand, was spotted leaving the office in his black car shortly after, wearing a grey suit jacket and lilac shirt.
JLo turned heads in her eye-catching outfit, which included blonde hair, matching green heels, sunglasses and a pink Valentino Garavani purse worth $1,897. She accessorized her look with gold hoop earrings. The Jenny From The Block singer replaced her green emerald diamond engagement ring from Ben Affleck with a gold pleated ring after filing for divorce.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce could be ‘ugly’
Affleck and Lopez being spotted in the same place has led to speculation about the status of their relationship and the potential challenges they will face during divorce proceedings. Although Bennifer has not made any official statement, a source told PEOPLE on Tuesday that their divorce “has the potential to get ugly” due to their lack of a prenuptial agreement.
“There are some hiccups over financial matters,” the source explained. Since the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement when they married in Las Vegas in July 2022, everything they made, earned and owned is considered joint property. However, in her divorce filing overseen by celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, Lopez said on Aug. 20 that his assets were “unknown” to her. The popstar’s estimated net worth in 2024 is $400 million.
Jen and Ben are ready to move on with their lives
After celebrating their ‘greatest’ love story with a documentary and wedding, Hollywood power couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have decided to separate. It is reported that both parties are ready to move on from their two-year-old marriage. A source close to Affleck recently told People magazine that he is focusing on the positive aspects of his life amid the separation.

On the other hand, Lopez was reportedly the one who tried very hard to save the marriage but ultimately couldn’t save it from ending, as Affleck decided to ‘throw in the towel’ first. The two have been living separately for months now. The Atlas star has also started house hunting after listing her $60 million Beverly Hills mansion, which she shared with Affleck, for sale. Meanwhile, Affleck bought a $20 million property in Pacific Palisades and has recently moved in there.
