During a video interview with British Vogue, Jennifer Lopez shared the challenges of life while raising her 16-year-old twins Emme and Max following her public split from ex-husband Ben Affleck. Is the Atlas star now more vulnerable than ever?
Lopez, who plays the mother of champion wrestler Anthony Robles in the film Unstoppable, discussed her experiences with Anthony’s real-life mother, Judy Robles. She described raising her twins as “beautiful, challenging, a blessing.”

,[It’s about] want to put the best face forward for [your kids] All the time, but struggling with my dreams and aspirations as a woman and in relationships and in life,” she shared.
“I just figured it out. I mean, as a mother, you always want to do your best for your kids. You want to lift them up. “It doesn’t stop you from being a person who struggles.”
Lopez considering single parenthood amid split
The 55-year-old also touched on the emotional challenges portrayed in the film, specifically Judy Robles’ difficulty in giving her abusive ex-husband another chance and the effect it had on her son. “I’m in the same position, like maybe I shouldn’t give this person another chance, and then you go back. I don’t think there’s a man or woman on Earth who hasn’t been in this position,” Lopez shared.
Lopez has spoken openly about moments of self-doubt in her journey as a single parent. She told Entertainment Weekly how playing Judy Robles gave her a sense of healing. “I have been a single mother many times in my life, and [I’ve asked]’Am I enough for them?'” she said, referring to her children, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

“And the truth is, you need a really good parent to love you,” she explained. “You hear it in Anthony’s voice, and see what he’s been able to accomplish. That’s what the film gave me: You are enough.”
