Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are heading for divorce because of J.Lo’s “love addiction.”
On the latest episode of “TMZ Investigates,” “JLo & Ben: Missed Warning Signs,” filmmaker Jon Peters and Dr. Drew Pinsky discuss the possibility that Lopez may be romantically obsessed.
“She’s a love and sex addict, look at the men she’s been with,” Peters, 79, commented, pointing to the fact that the 54-year-old superstar has been divorced three times and had a broken engagement once.
“She can’t stand being alone. She needs a man in her life, she’s never spent any real time developing herself. And her career is at risk [censored]”He’s talented,” he said.

Dr. Drew calls Jennifer ‘love-addicted’
Dr. Drew Pinsky, a well-known TV personality and addiction specialist, agreed with Peters’ assessment, saying that “there are literally thousands of people in 12-step programs who are addicted to love.”
“Its characteristics include that they don’t have many boundaries, they get caught up in relationships easily, they get attracted to people and once they get caught up in a relationship they can’t get out of it.”
Earlier this year, Lopez announced the cancellation of her ‘This Is Me… Live Tour’, which was scheduled to begin on June 26.
“I am absolutely heartbroken and frustrated for letting you down. Please know that I would not have done so if I did not feel it was absolutely necessary,” she wrote in a newsletter.
The event’s cancellation led to speculation that it was due to low ticket sales and her ongoing feud with Affleck.

Reports suggest that the couple are living separately while trying to decide the future of their relationship. They have also listed their $60 million marital home for sale.
An insider suggested that “Jennifer has started increasing her work commitments and preparing for her tour. She is very focused on work and keeps herself very busy”, and that this stems from their contrasting lifestyles.
US Weekly also reported last month that Ben “dropped out” because their “honeymoon period was over” as their lifestyles were too different.
“Of course Jenny is upset, she loves Ben, but they’re just so different, there’s no getting along, there’s no reconciliation, they’re just on different paths,” a source previously told the Daily Mail.
“He tried really hard to make it work, but it didn’t work out. He put in a lot of time and energy, and I think she did the same.”
“Nobody can be blamed for this. It just wasn’t possible. It’s very difficult for two big stars to maintain a marriage, one has to give in, and in this case, no one gave in,” the insider said.
