Rumors of tension between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been making headlines for days, fueled by their separate homes and limited interaction beyond their parenting responsibilities. Recent photos captured by Page Six further solidify this speculation. JLo, usually known for her restraint, was seen sitting in the passenger seat of manager Benny Medina’s BMW convertible. Her lips were pursed, and in another photo, she appeared to be looking away, seeming to be trying to hide her emotions behind her oversized glasses.
The couple’s destination is still unclear, but Lopez’s husband Ben Affleck was notably absent from the outing. This marks another sombre appearance from JLo, following her recent visit to a flea market with daughter Emme, during which eyewitnesses noted her apparent lack of joy.
Speaking to the Mirror, body language expert Judi James believes the singer-songwriter looks “extremely stressed” by the recent incident. According to the expert, “Looking forward in the car it seems clear that Jennifer’s mood is stern and reflective, but her facial expression here also suggests she is extremely tense or under pressure. Her lips are pursed and the top lip is pulled inwards, which is often associated with regret or resentment.

A lot has happened since the couple’s rekindled romance hit the tabloids. After getting married in 2023, JLo made her much-awaited comeback with the album This Is Me…Now, which surprisingly failed to impress her fan base, leading to it being declared a flop. The album was also accompanied by a documentary depicting her love journey with Ben Affleck, which was meant to boost publicity, but it received a lukewarm response.

A week ago, the Selena actress decided to pull the curtain down on her music tour, which was changed from This Is Me…Now to This Is Me…Live. The decision came just days after her sci-fi film Atlas dropped on Netflix, but received mixed reactions. Now, a PR expert believes the divorce rumors were spread to divert people’s attention from her career struggles.
Speaking to The Mirror, Maya Riaz said, “It is no surprise that the speculation about divorce rumours surrounding her and Ben may have been done to divert attention from the downturn in her career. It is not uncommon for celebrities to face speculation and rumours, especially during challenging times in their careers.”
