Benny Median’s disdain for Ben Affleck began with the first split
According to Page Six, some of Jennifer Lopez’s closest friends never liked Ben Affleck, starting with their initial relationship and breakup two decades ago. This includes Lopez’s longtime manager Benny Medina. A source told the outlet that her dislike of Affleck is reportedly tied to the couple’s failed engagement in the early 2000s.

“They both can’t stand each other. They don’t get along and there’s still bad blood between them,” the insider said. Jennifer Lopez and her longtime manager Benny Medina have a relationship that is both professional and deeply trusting. Medina, who played a key role in turning Lopez from a dancer on the ’90s sketch show In Living Color into a global superstar, was a key figure in her rise to fame. Despite their close relationship, Lopez and Medina split in 2003.
And now insiders have revealed that Affleck was allegedly one of the reasons for that split. However, the Jenny From The Block singer didn’t let Medina go and rehired her in 2004. This reconciliation came just a few years after she first ended her relationship with Affleck and called off their engagement.

A source previously revealed that Remini urged Lopez to carefully consider the reasons for their initial breakup before getting back into a relationship with Affleck. The Atlas star reportedly didn’t even invite Remini to her wedding to the actor.
