Jeremy Renner recently shared terrifying footage and photos of the Davis Fire as it approached his home near Lake Tahoe on Sunday, September 8. He previously confirmed in an interview with The Wall Street Journal in August that his primary residence is in Nevada.
The Avengers star Instagram to show his followers the rapidly spreading wildfire that forced him to evacuate his property near Reno, Nevada. He shared a photo of thick smoke hovering over the mountains, writing “evacuate” with several prayer hand emojis. He also tagged the location as “Reno Tahoe” and added a fire emoji.
A photo taken from his driveway showed huge clouds of smoke and flames very close to his home. A fire engine could be seen parked on his property.
“When the wind changes the weather is either very good or very bad,” Rainer wrote on another photo of the fire.

Renner reassures everyone that he and the others are ‘safe and secure’
The 53-year-old star assured her fans that she and others got out safely. On a photo of local firefighters from Washoe County, she wrote, “Everyone has been evacuated and are safe. Now it’s nature’s turn,” she thanked the emergency workers working tirelessly in the area, tagging the Truckee Meadows firefighters.
He also shared two videos, one of which shows a plane dropping red fire retardant on burning trees to stop the flames from spreading. The other video shows a fire engine passing by a huge cloud of black smoke that was heading ominously towards the road.
He also posted on X, captioning, “There’s a fire in Reno Tahoe. Very close to our community. Stay safe out there.”
The Davis wildfire has already damaged 14 structures and burned 6,500 acres, leading Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo to declare a state of emergency on September 8. CNN“This afternoon, I declared a state of emergency due to the Davis Fire. State agencies are working diligently to support local partners as we work together to mitigate and extinguish this fire,” he said in an X post.

The “wind-driven fires” forced the evacuation of 14,000 people in Washoe County and, as of Sunday night, the fire was 0% contained. In addition to the Nevada fires, California is battling 14 active wildfires, including one burning 20,552 acres in the San Bernardino Mountains, according to the same source.
