On keeping their relationship private
Joe said, “As everyone knows, we both mutually decided to keep the personal details of our relationship private. It was never meant to be a commodity and I see no reason to change that now… And, look, this was a little over a year ago and I feel fortunate to be in a really great place in my life, both professionally and personally. I feel really good.”
‘The end of a relationship is a hard thing’
In the same interview, Joe revealed that people knew very quickly after their breakup; news of their breakup came out in 2023. He said, “I hope everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a six-and-a-half-year-long, loving, fully committed relationship. It’s hard to deal with. What’s unusual and unusual about this situation is that a week later, it suddenly becomes public and the outside world is able to pick up on it.”
Joe was asked if he has heard Taylor’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, which fans believe may contain material inspired by the former couple’s breakup. He talked about how ‘there’s always a difference between what is known and what is said’. He refused to reveal if he is in contact with Taylor or dating her again.
Taylor is now dating Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelsey; the two have been in the spotlight since their romance went public in 2023.
