Los Angeles: Chrissy shared a photo of her eldest son with an insulin monitor on his arm, which prompted an outpouring of love and affection from her fans, reports mirror.co.uk.
It seems that Chrissy was very impressed with the response she received. Chrissy has now shared a photo of her son Miles (6 years old) and daughter Luna (8 years old) holding a banner at the Paris Olympics.
“Many of you may have noticed something special about a photo I posted a few days ago – Luna, Miles and I celebrating Simone and Team USA. Miles had his hand raised, and many of you reached out to say the most beautiful and incredible words I’ve ever heard on this stage,” she wrote alongside the photo, according to mirror.co.uk.
“A few weeks ago, our Miles was sick in the hospital with a terrible disease called Shigella, which is an intestinal infection caused by bacteria in food or water. A lot of his friends were sick with it too because they went to the same camp and it happens,” he said.
“But the doctors knew there was something else wrong with his blood tests. I’ve since learned that this is how many young children are diagnosed with type 1 – going to the hospital for something completely different. After more testing, we found out he’s in the ‘honeymoon period’ of T1 life. Last night we gave him his first shot of insulin and now we’re getting started! A different, new world for us and we’re certainly learning a lot,” he added.
