Chrissy Teigen recently jokingly threatened to “abandon” her husband John Legend in a popular Instagram trend involving their one-year-old daughter, Estee.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Legend jokingly revealed that he recorded an “entire album” for Estee to make sure she wasn’t “impressed by my son playing a G chord on the guitar.” In the video, the singer holds his daughter in his arms and raises his eyebrows at the camera while showing “dad mode activated.”
She recently released an album for children, My Favorite Dream, inspired by her own family.

Teigen then couldn’t stop herself from poking fun at her husband in the comments section. “Oh my god, you really made this trend. I’m leaving,” she joked, expressing her disbelief. Taking the joke one step further, the 38-year-old mother of four said Legend could also get “custody” of their kids: Luna, 8, Miles, 6, and twins Estee and Wren, both 1. “I’m leaving. You can have custody,” she added.
“I think Chrissy is everybody’s favorite, except I might have Estee,” Legend previously told PEOPLE.
“I think because she’s in this place where she sees me leaving now, and when I come back home, she’s very clingy and she literally wants to hug my leg and make sure I don’t leave her.”
Fans of the couple were quick to react to the two legends’ participation in the trend.
One follower jokingly commented, “When your dad is actually John Legend,” while another wrote, “Hahahaha you are seriously amazing!! What a fun wife and mom.”
Teigen and Legend, who tied the knot in 2013, recently celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows.

The couple frequently shares glimpses of their family life on social media. Just last week, Legend proudly revealed a new tattoo bearing the names of his wife and children. “My first tattoo was ‘chrissilunamils’ in a subtle heart-monitor-like cursive on my right arm in honor of my growing family,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
“So I asked @winterstone to come back and do the same with the new kids.”
