Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga are back, causing chaos as the Joker and Harley Quinn in the latest trailer from Warner Bros. and DC. Joker: Folie a Do,
Sequel to the 2019 film Joker It is set to release in theaters on October 4, 2024 after premiering at the Venice Film Festival. The first ‘Joker’ film won the Golden Lion at Venice in 2019.
First Joker It was a huge success both critically and commercially. It was nominated for 11 Oscars, with Joaquin Phoenix winning for Best Actor and Hildur Gudnadottir winning for Original Score. It became the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time. In the sequel, Phoenix reprises his role as the Joker, and Lady Gaga joins the cast as Harley Quinn. Most of the events in the film will take place at Arkham Asylum.
The supporting cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lofty. Zazie Beetz returns as Sophie from the first film. The sequel is said to be a musical film based on Phoenix’s dance sequences from the original film.
Zazie Beetz told Variety, “I think people will be surprised. I don’t think it will be what they expect, that it will be a musical. We all express our emotions through music and dance every day in our lives. I think it will work really well.”

Todd Phillips returns as director Joker: Folie a DoHe co-wrote the screenplay with Scott Silver and produced the film with Bradley Cooper.
