Actors Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny will join Daniel Craig in the upcoming film. knives out 3According to The Hollywood ReporterLast week, writer and director Rian Johnson announced on X that Craig would be reprising his role as Benoit Blanc in the upcoming murder mystery thriller.

Netflix also confirmed Craig’s return and the sequel’s title on its Tudum site following Johnson’s post. “That’s right, Daniel Craig is back as a brilliant Southern explorer Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out MysteryA new installment in the whodunit franchise, written and directed by Rian Johnson.
The streaming giant wrote, “Blank will showcase a new murder mystery in an as-yet-unknown setting, surrounded by a new colorful cast of suspects.” The director also shared on social media that production on the sequel is set to begin soon.
“I love everything about whodunits, but one of the things I love most is how flexible the genre is,” Johnson said on X before the film’s title was released. “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and exploring that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.
