Justin Bieber’s concern about protecting Billie Eilish from the music industry has resurfaced following Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ recent arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Does the Canadian disciple only mean the industry, or did he point the finger at Diddy?
Bieber spoke about Eilish during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe in 2020, saying, “I just want to protect her. I don’t want her to go through anything like I did. I don’t wish that on anybody.”
Just minutes into the interview, the ‘Baby’ singer broke down in tears as he revealed the pressures he faced after becoming an overnight sensation at the age of 14. “It was really hard for me, being in the industry at such a young age and not knowing where to go, and having everybody tell me they love me, and then in a second they turn their back on you,” Bieber explained.

Like Bieber, Eilish quickly became a superstar with her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, which reached No. 1 in the US, spawning several hit singles. Bieber, who has publicly endured his personal struggles, shared, “It was bad … it was dark.”
“Think about how young I was and how easily influenced I was and everyone was always telling me how amazing I was.”
“If she ever needs me I’ll be here for her. I’m just a call away,” he said, also admitting that he’s “living in this shame” because of past mistakes, but he hoped to be “a good example” for Eilish.
His comments have resurfaced as social media users are making connections to Combs, especially in light of a video showing suspicious interactions between the two. The video, which is recirculating, shows Combs and the 15-year-old Bieber spending time together.

“He’s spending 48 hours with Diddy, we can’t reveal where he’s spending time and what he’s doing … but it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream,” Combs says in the video.
He jokes, “I’ve been given custody of him,” and adds, “He’s signed with Usher and when he made his first album, I had legal guardianship of Usher… I don’t have legal guardianship of him [Bieber] But for the next 48 hours he’s with me, and we’re going to go absolutely crazy.”
