Timberlake publicly admitted his “mistake” only after a plea deal to reduce the charges against him was approved by the court. He admitted it was his fault for driving drunk with his friends.

Justin Timberlake risks ruining his career
Sources told the media outlet, “This is a case of Justin’s type-A, never-backing-down personality getting the best of him and causing real damage. He has some very experienced publicists and managers who are offering good advice, but he’s not listening to them.” A common course of action suggested by showbiz insiders in such cases is that the guilty person should apologize, admit their mistake and take responsibility. However, Timberlake refused to take responsibility when he tried to get his case dismissed.
Moreover, he tried to make the situation funny by cracking light-hearted jokes about it during his recent concert in Boston. At the concert, he told the crowd, “So, uh, is there anyone here tonight who’s driving? No, I’m just joking.” An insider revealed, “This kind of behavior really shows the dark side of his personality. He’s a guy who loves a fight, even when he should know it’s a losing battle.”
The SexyBack singer was arrested in June after he ran a stop sign in posh Sag Harbor. The singer had red, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, a strong smell of alcohol and an unsteady gait, but he was adamant he had only been drinking once with friends. He also pleaded not guilty to the DWI case. Sources told the media outlet, “This arrest has already spoiled some of his career plans – and now his overzealous defense is on the verge of completely destroying his reputation. Many people are begging Justin not to go down this path.”

Justin Timberlake forced to admit his mistake
The Can’t Stop the Feeling singer only publicly admitted his mistake after sources told him that his defense was threatening to ruin his career. After a plea deal, his charges were reduced from DWI to Driving While Ability Impaired. Addressing reporters, he said, “I try to hold myself to a very high standard. And this wasn’t it. This wasn’t it. I found myself in a situation where I could have made a different decision, but I had some time to reflect on that.”
He added, “What I would like to say to everyone watching and listening is that if you have had a drink, even once, do not drive a car. There are so many options – call a friend, take an Uber, there are so many travel apps, take a taxi. I made this mistake, but I hope everyone watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know I certainly have.”
