The KCON series, held throughout the year at various dream destinations around the world, is embarking on a new large-scale chapter by heading to the United States this July. The main stage of KCON LA 2024 will be broadcast live on The CW for the first time in the music festival’s history. Despite the three-day event running from Friday to Sunday, only the final day’s main show on July 28 will be broadcast live on the American TV channel.
Known for its live music festivals over the years, several A-list South Korean stars will return to the grand stage this weekend. These talents include popular K-pop artists like NCT 127 and ZEROBASEONE, as well as solo artists Taemin, Hyolyn and Jeon Somi.
KCON LA’s historic broadcast on primetime national television in the US is part of a licensing deal shared by producer CJ ENM and The CW. The LA edition of the star-studded extravaganza will follow this year’s KCON events in Hong Kong and Japan. It will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center and the Crypto.com Arena. All MCountdown stages will be held at the latter, while the festival grounds that will house the KCON Stage, Meet & Greet and Showcases will stretch from the LA Convention Center to Gilbert Lindsay Plaza.

Later this year, the multi-artist music festival will return to Germany for another round of live musical performances and exciting activities.
2024 KCON LA Hosts/MCs: Former SF9 member and Korean actor Rowoon will be the main host of MCountdown on Friday, July 26, while Jeon Somi will take over on Saturday, July 27. Queen of Tears sensation Kim Soo Hyun will take over on the final day of the festival, i.e. Sunday, July 28.
Special fan meetings with K-actors will be held exclusively at KCON (LA Convention Center South Hall). Marry My Husband’s Park Min Young will meet her fans on Saturday, July 27, while Queen of Tears star Kim Soo Hyun’s meet and greet stage will be on Saturday, July 28.
Originally, I-LAND 2 group Izna was also scheduled to perform at KCON LA 2024 on Saturday (KCON Stage) and Sunday (MCountdown). However, due to “unexpected visa issues”, their appearance at the weekend shows has been cancelled.

Where to watch KCON LA 2024
Viewers across the US can watch the concert on July 28 at 8pm PT/ET on The CW. In contrast, global viewers can access MCountdown and MCountdown Re-streaming on the official YouTube channels of Mnet K-Pop/KCON Official. However, all other exclusive content related to the concert including red carpet events, meet and greets, and more will be available through the VOD option.
Viewers must have an “All Access” subscription to easily access these links. Philippines residents can watch the MCountdown Stage streaming/VOD services exclusively on BlastTV. They will not be able to access YouTube’s paid content with the subscription. The live streaming of the event will be provided with English and Japanese subtitles.
