fans of Kaiju No. 8 There’s reason to celebrate as the first teaser for the much-awaited second season of the anime has been released. Kaiju No. 8 It was a huge success on Crunchyroll, leading to an almost immediate renewal for a second season.
The teaser trailer released on X gives a thrilling glimpse of what’s to come. It features intense, fast-paced action sequences as kaiju rampage through Tokyo while the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force dives into battle. Although the trailer is intentionally vague, leaving much to the imagination, the footage, which is styled like vintage VHS clips, cleverly combines snippets of battles from season one with new material.
Fans won’t have to wait too long, as the new season is set to release in 2025. This information was already known, thanks to a previous announcement from Crunchyroll. However, the trailer also brought some exciting new updates, including a “Season 1 Compilation” film designed to highlight key moments from the first season, to ensure that both new viewers and returning fans are prepared for the second season. Traditionally, compilation films like this are shown in theaters before the new season, and it’s expected that will be the case Kaiju No. 8 This will be followed.
A special original episode titled Hoshina holiday is also in production. The episode will focus on Hoshina, a fan-favorite character who is the vice-captain of the third division and a skilled swordsman.
