Mumbai: Veteran singer Kailash Kher has reacted to the incident of shots being firing at Comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Surrey, Canada.
While he said that he was not yet aware of complete information, he said that after getting more information, he would speak on the matter. When asked to share his views on the recent attack on Kapil’s cafe in Canada, Kailash Kher told IANS, “I don’t know about that incident yet. Once I know more, I will speak.”
Security has increased outside the Mumbai residence of Kapil Sharma after a shooting incident in its newly opened restaurant in Surrey. This incident has raised concerns, inspiring strict security measures around their house. On July 11, the Mumbai police personnel were seen visiting the residence of actor and comedian in the Oshwar region.
Kapil Sharma was recently attacked in the inaugural cafe when Babbar Khalsa set fire by a member of the banned terrorist organization. The attacker, known as Harjeet Singh, allegedly shot nine bullets in the establishment and later claimed responsibility for the incident. Allegedly, the objective behind the attack was vengeance for alleged comments made about Nihang Sikh dress during Kapil Sharma’s television shows.
The shooting took place at KAP Cafe at 2:00 pm local time on 10 July, which is located in 8400 blocks of 120th Street in Surrey.
In response to the incident, the cafe management posted a message on his Instagram stories, stating that he was still coming with a shocking incident. The statement said, “We opened the cup cafe with the hope of bringing heat, community, and happiness through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. The difference of violence with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up.”
“Thanks to your support. Shared through DM, your kind of words, prayers, and memories you know more than what you know. This cafe exists what we are making together. Let’s be firm against violence and ensure that the cup café remains warm and community.”
Kapil Sharma’s Cup cafe was officially launched on 4 July.
