Sonakshi Sinha got married to Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony at her apartment in Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday. After the civil wedding, the newlywed couple hosted a grand reception at Bastian in Dadar. Anil Kapoor, Kajol, Chunky Panday, Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem attended the reception in style. Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur, Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Arbaaz Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Raveena Tandon, film veteran Saira Bano were also spotted at the party. The newlywed couple wore their best traditional attire for the party. Sonakshi Sinha looked extremely beautiful as she chose a beautiful red saree for the party. She accentuated her bridal look with sindoor and red chooda. Zaheer Iqbal wore a white kurta set. The newlywed couple arrived at the party venue hand-in-hand

Sonakshi’s best friend Huma Qureshi looked very beautiful in a white outfit. Her brother Saqib Saleem wore a green kurta at the reception.
Kajol looked very beautiful in a saree. She was seen smiling in front of the camera. Shatrughan Sinha’s family friend Anu Ranjan also attended the reception with her husband.
Sharing the wedding pictures, Sonakshi Sinha wrote a note. It read, “On this day, seven years ago (23.06.2017) we saw love in its purest form in each other’s eyes and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and victories… to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our Gods… we are now husband and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all the beautiful things with each other, from now till forever.” Sonakshi added in the post, “Sonakshi marries Zaheer. 23.06.2024” Sonakshi wore her mother’s vintage saree and jewellery for the wedding. Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal registered their marriage under the provisions of the Special Marriage Act. According to an IANS report, the civil marriage took place at the bride’s new apartment, 81 Aureate, located near the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Mumbai’s Bandra West. After the wedding, Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan Sinha told the media, “Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is handed over to her chosen groom. My daughter looks the happiest with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe (may their jodi always remain strong).” He was accompanied by his wife Poonam at the wedding.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are co-stars of the 2022 film Double XL. They have reportedly been in a relationship for over 7 years.
