Kajol Maya visit the South Kali temple in Kolkata before its release, looking for blessings.

New Delhi: Bollywood’s fine actress Kajol recently led the very prestigious South Kali temple in Kolkata and offered her prayers. Before the release of his film called ‘Mala’, Kajol paid a divine journey to the Devi temple, which gave her blessings. Kajol looked beautiful, wearing a blush pink saree with golden ornamentation.

She has been a devotee of mother Kali and celebrates Durga Puja festival every year with every enthusiasm and patience. During his religious journey, Kajol also spoke about his much awaited drama, ‘Ma’. It is called its ‘strongest role’.


About South Kali Temple

The very iconic South Kali Temple, which is also known on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River in South Bengal, is also known to the south. The presiding deity of the temple is Bhavatarini (Kali), a form of Mahadevi or Parashakti Adya Kali, otherwise known as Adishadi Kalika. The temple was built in 1855 by a feudal lord, and a devotee of Maa Kali, Rashmani. The temple is associated with the 19th century Bengal mystic Ramakrishna and Sarda Devi.


The main temple was inspired by the Radhakanta temple at Toliganj, built by Babu Ramnath Mondal of the Baoli Raj family. It was founded in the mid -19th century by Queen Rashmani.


Kajol’s mother

Kajol will be seen in her next as a dotting mother, who is on the mission to protect her child from evil. Apart from them, the project will also include Ronit Roy, Indranal Sengpta, Getin Gulati, Gopal Singh, Surajyasakha Das, Yaneya Bhardwaj, Ruopakath Chakraborty, and Kherin Sharma in important roles. Under the direction of Vishal Furia, Sivin Quadras has written the screenplay for “Ma”. Produced by Ajay Devgan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, the film is presented by Jio Studio and Devgan films.

Kajol’s upcoming movies

Apart from “mother”, Kajol has also done Kayoz Irani’s “Sarzmin”. It will be seen in their next part with Ibrahim Ali Khan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tota Roy Chaudhary and Rajesh Sharma. His lineup includes further Charan Tejalapati’s “Maharaghni-Queen of Queens”, Cum-Abhibh Dev, Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon and Jishu Sengupta.
