‘Maa’ Box Office Collection Day 4: Kajol’s latest offering could be ‘Maa’, perhaps opened in a minor number, but the emotional family drama managed to gain momentum in its early weekends. However, the film hit speed and faced significant decline in the collection on Monday.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk, ‘MAA’ brought to 1.97 crores on its fourth day, marked a 72% decline from its weekend trading. This dip made the total domestic box office collection of 19.62 crores.
Despite the recession, the film has now crossed the lifetime business of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’, which. 18.35 crore was collected.
‘Ma’ occupancy rate
On Tuesday, the film saw little recovery, allegedly earned around 2.25 crores and updated in India a total of ₹ 19.90 crore was brought to a net. Monday’s occupancy across the Hindi circuit was 12.67%, with the morning shows to 6.97%, slowly increased by 15.05%by night.
In terms of city-wise data, the National Capital Region (NCR) reported the highest occupancy at 16.50% in the 633 show. Mumbai chased 14.50% from 473 shows, while Pune recorded 12.25% occupancy with 193 screening.
Although Monday’s figures keep a matter of concern, MAA’s ability to improve similar release recently proves that Kajol still commands the box office. The coming days will determine whether the film can maintain speed or may fade in the middle of the week.

Produced by producer Ajay Devgan, Jyoti Deshpande, and Kumar Mangat Pathak, the mother introduced Kajol as a fixed mother, who fights supernatural forces to protect her daughter from a fatal curse. Starring by director Vishal Furia, the film also stars Ronit Roy, Indranil Sengpta and Kherin Sharma.
