Ear: Actor Dhanush India’s missile man and 11th President, Dr. APJ is ready to portray Abdul Kalam in a biopic, which was declared in the Cannes Film Festival 2025. The biopic, which is officially in production, will be played by director Om Raut, known for “Tanaji: Unheard Warrior”.
The screenplay is written by Saiwin Quadras, whose writing credits include acclaimed biopics Neerja, Maidan and Parmanu: The Story of Pokharan.
The director of Ace talked about the biopic. He said in a statement, “In an era, starving true politicians, Kalam stood above politics and petty. He was a person who was known for the power of education, excellence and indigenous innovation.”
“There is an artistic challenge to bring his story on screen and an ethical and cultural responsibility. It is a story that is inspiring for global youth and especially the youth of the global South.
The film, “being perfect for the values ​​of Dr. Kalam, will explore the man behind the missile programs and the presidency, the poet, teacher, the dreamer whose every word takes both science and spirituality in equal measures. More than a political biography, the project has been deployed as an insight into leadership and nation-building,” as a press release.
Manufacturer Abhishek Aggarwal also expressed his excitement, saying, “We are excited to bring Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s epic life on the big screen. This is an emotional moment for us.”

However, not much details have been shared by the manufacturers of the biopic.
The film is supported by Abhishek Aggarwal and Bhushan Kumar, and is produced by Abhishek Aggarwal, Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar and Anil Suna.
